Description
Inspired by the textures and forms found along the shoreline, these asymmetric earrings feature impressions of real limpet shells, captured in fine silver.
Each shell has its own irregular shape and surface detail. The dark patina settles into the impressions, highlighting the natural ridges and textures.
One earring carries a single larger shell, while the other features two smaller shells connected by silver jump rings. Their different lengths create a deliberately asymmetric design.
The shells are made from fine silver, with sterling silver used for the connecting components and ear wires. Both earrings are individually hallmarked as sterling silver (925) by the Edinburgh Assay Office and carry my registered maker’s mark.
